Windows XP Trivia

March 16, 2007

Windows XP Wallpaper (default)

The default wallpaper for the Windows XP operating system is Bliss, a BMP photograph of a landscape by Charles O’Rear in the Napa Valley, with rolling green hills and a blue sky with stratocumulus and cirrus clouds. The photograph inspired Windows XP’s 200-million USD advertising campaign Yes you can.

Watch Deleted Youtube Videos

March 11, 2007

Watch Deleted Youtube.Com Videos

“This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by BlahBlahBlah Inc.” Does it look familiar ? Actually it is lol, That’s the message you see on Youtube.com when they remove a copyrighted video from the Youtube website.

Or if the user deleted his/her own video. and if your movie violates Youtube Terms of Use.

Worry no more!

Those folks at http://youtube.infamousx.com/ made it possible to watch deleted videos on Youtube - Just like Google Cache stores a copy of a webpage on Google servers, Youtube maintains a copy of raw video on their servers even when the video has been taken off the main website.

Here’s a video i deleted to try it on :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60XBnbBJYls

all you need is the video id (60XBnbBJYls in this case)

This thing may not work for videos that have been permanently deleted from the Youtube servers.

Watch those video’s back to life ;)

Happy Mensiversary not Happy Monthsary

March 9, 2007

A mensiversary (from the Latin mensis and versarius — the words for month and to turn, meaning (re)turning monthly) is a day that commemorates and/or celebrates a past event (similar to the yearly anniversary) that occurred on the same day of the month as the initial event. For example, the first event is the initial occurrence or, if planned, the inaugural of the event; one month later would be the first mensiversary of that event.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 launches March 27

March 6, 2007

but let me put this straight : Adobe will unveil — but not ship — it’s creative suite on 27 March. Intiendes?

adobe in youtube

Adobe will launch Adobe Creative Suite 3 at a special event in New York on 27 March, the company confirmed this morning.

The company will be celebrating the global launch at the event, which will be webcast live at 8.30pm UK time.

The long-awaited suite of creative tools is expected to kick-start Mac Pro sales, and will be the first release of CS3 that is optimised to run natively on Intel-based Macs.

Adobe calls the 27 March announcement “the largest software release in Adobe’s 25-year history”.

The company remains reticent regarding the features and applications within CS3, but has released a teaser video to help build further anticipation.

The video is available on YouTube and the Adobe website, where there are pages detailing its What’s In The Box campaign.

Adobe last week confirmed plans to make an entry-level version of Photoshop available online as a hosted web service.

The company says Adobe CS3 will ship “later in spring“.

GMAIL (beta) Goes Public

February 19, 2007

 Google Mail aka gmail

Originally launched on April 1, 2004, entirely an invite-only service. You could only get an account if someone you knew already had one and sent you an invitation. Gmail invites were even selling on eBay from 5$ to $250 a pop!

In the middle of 2005, the system opened more widely, when Google allowed anyone in the US to get an invite by having an invitation code sent via SMS to their mobile phone.

And now the beta goes public… Google finally makes it official. Gmail is open to all. An announcement on the Official Google Blog confirms what everyone already discovered last week. That Gmail restrictions have been dropped. You still can invite friends and family to use Gmail, like you did before. However, invitations are no longer necessary to open an account.
