The One WORLD series came up as photographer, Niccolo Cosme, thought he needed something more profound than vanity for HSC; he realized that the primary root of all this project is the social network sites. These sites bind us, making the world much smaller than it is; they bridge gaps and infuse cultures, letting us co-create with everyone else. This then inspires the goal of the series: to convey the message of oneness, of unity, and peace; that whatever race we are from, whatever skin color we have, we all belong to the same world that we know of, thus having it as our common ground. We all belong there… it’s our cyber world.

The goal was not simple as it involved traveling in different countries in Southeast Asia. Its first leg took place in Saigon last May 9, 2008 where 30 plus participants had joined; Manila had the 2nd leg with 200 plus participants; the 3rd leg was in Macau with 50 participants; and Cambodia last June 7 with 50 plus.

The One WORLD series is set to run until August (Singapore, Malaysia, Bangkok, and Australia). An exhibition of all the headshots taken all over these countries is planned for September this year to commemorate the International Day for Peace. – http://www.headshotclinic.com/

Id been receiving questions and even cute assumptions that the “Seawalker” thing is all made up. Even saying “that’s Photoshop’ed”. It’s not. They’re all fresh experiences Check the Seawalker page here, that’s the exact site in Cebu where we’ve experienced it.

6:30AM – Wake up time. Have to wait at the pool lobby to meet a couple of people for our breakfast in bed. We have 2 rooms, 1 for us boys: Sir Alejandro, Alen & Me ; and the other family room for the 13 kids and ladies collectively. T’was too early so alen and i spent cam whoring around the hotel:

Breakfast came minutes pass 7:00AM . Rice, Hotdog & Eggs with a native hot choco. I never knew there was a “native” choco version since i use to drink only milo, ovaltine or nesquik. The native version is a bit “oily.” Fruits, bread and butter was also served for those diet conscious bakasyonitas.

8:00AM - Left hotel for the “Guided Tour” around Bohol

8:30AM – First stop was the “Hinagdanan Cave“. We paid a 15 Peso worth ticket to enter the place. You’ll love the cave : Ceilings dripping with stalactites, Hinagdanan Cave is a marvel in stonework. Its underground pools with their limestone bottoms glimmer clear and green, and are lit up dramatically by natural skylights that enters from two holes at the cave’s roof creating an eerie and remarkably beautiful natural effect. Again, pictures to follow. We used magnolia’s cam since the cave is too dark for my n70 camera. Here’s a breath-taking picture i found at flickr by bernard.

Somewhere above the place are souvenir shops where I bought a pair of black shirt for me and alexa, and another pair for my brother and sister. Alen scored the same black shirt i bought.

9:30 AM : Took a picture on a famous overlooking-the-sea statue of Datu Sikatuna Lopez Legaspi. A better shot of this is again at magnolia’s cam.

9:45 AM : Next stop was Baclayon Museum, Located in Baclayon town – 7 km from Tagbilaran City and situated inside the Baclayon Church – the oldest stone church in the Philippines. Without luck – it was close for Good Friday

10:00 AM : We headed to the famous Chicken Python Sanctuary. Hehehe, we’re just playing around on the “chicken” thing since theres more than a dozen chicken and only 6 python in captivity. Also on the sanctuary are rare birds and lemur.

10:50AM – Cruised around the Loboc River while eating lunch on a motorboat Here’s funny teasing statement in Video (for a change) alen and i shot during the cruise :

12:10 – 12:45 noon - Upclose and personal with the Philippines’ smallest primate, Tarsier



Somewhere at the Loboc River Alen and i scored a couple of souvenir items : Keychains, bracelets and Shirts. We also met Alen’s textmate “Janice”. A young pretty-smarty Cebuano lad. (not in the pic)1:50PM – Cam whoring at the Chocolate Hills.

We then headed back to Bohol Plaza Hotel around 5:00PM to pick our stuff for which was suppose to be a night swimming at Kalipayan Beach – but turned out to be a seaside dinner with Mr. Hans Schoof, founding father of the Bohol Foreign Friendship Foundation, Inc., contributed also to the triumph of Bohol’s tourism industry.

We we’re back at the hotel around 8PM. We again pampered ourself to a soothing warm jacuzzi till 10:00 and fun-diving until 10:30.

That’s about it for the 2nd day

then jayson and i headed to Ortigas PSEC West tower to register and get the ticket for the EC-Council 1st Security Summit that is set to happen on Sept. 11-12 at the PSEC building in Ortigas. We met the speaker and we found ourself standing on the same ground

we taxi’d our way to moa from ortigas. we were rushing to get a bench fix clay doh since its been 2 weeks it was out of stock in sm bacoor. i got 2 for me and my bro. jayson bought 2 aswell for himself.

also, it was all flip flops first year anniversary! weeeeeee! the haven for the Havaianas flips. they gave customers 10% for that day only! I got 2 pairs for my sister and alexa . i really miss my girl so much swear…

CD/R King – went to buy some blank cdr’s. and accidentaly bought a nice clearcased 35-in-1 card reader! i scored one for me and one for alexa too…

oh, dinner. we just ate our starves at Tapa King. I got my parents a dozen of gonuts donuts as pasalubong. you should try the pastillas de leche cold drink. YUMMY CIA!

then thats it… oh 1 more, while waiting for a cab at the taxi bay, i treated jayson a shawarma.

First thing first, id like to greet my Personal Computer – "Havaiana"  its first year anniversary! (august (i intentionally took off the S so dont come tagging i mispelled it"

i actually forgot it, just remembered it last 16 when we were eating at the daingan. i was so pre occupied with thoughts of me and yeyek coz its also our 2 Year, 6th month anniversary on the 9th.

anyway nothing new actually. no new havs. here’s some activity flashback for the past few days…

Aug 16 (Wednesday)
Left home at 3:02. and was at 6750 Ave at 4:53.

I was again at my so called "Microsoft Office" (not the real name of the place though)… but yeah, its the hub office of Microsoft Philippines, 6750 Avenue, Makati City.

For the past talk/seminar, yesterday was the best for me. MSDN: Red-Green-Refactor: Test-Driven Development with .NET. I learned a lot about the key importance of testing in the development arena. and indeed… its one of the most taken-for-granted part. and hell yeah… i finally got the itch to butt it in in every project ill be doing. thanks to sir andre of Philippine .NET Users Group for that very absorbing talk. More power and hoping to have you at our campus for some great talk

We went home early. And did trip on jayson. He was suppose to come but as usual he didnt. He’s always like that — "drawing". We decided to have fun on him… i txted him to follow us at Mojito Bay, Mall of Asia — But for real, we’re on a van on our way home hehehe… We got off the van and decided to go to SM Bacoor… Lucky Jayson he was around he spoiled our trip on him though he said he was on his way to sm mall of asia hehehe…

That didnt stop us on our "revenge" though… He treated us instead… Shawarma, Pamasahe, A pair of Tuna, Sky Flakes, Chips, Ice and a Case of 24 San Mig Lights! We ended up unwinding at our crib. and eating daing late at 2am. AND GETTING REALLY FULL with 3 to 5 servings of friend rice (i just got 4, ram has 5)

Aug 12 (Saturday)
Rufo-Gacuya Mall of Asia Day Out

The itenerary was to go to the mall, stroll, eat and watch the fireworks. It wasnt followed. What really happened was : stroll, play games, ate at Gerry’s Grill, stroll again, and watched Superman Imax. It was my 2nd time to see the movie – and the 2nd time to imax.

MOA was packed with events that time. Adidas Streetball challenge was there. First Day Funk Concert and Kamikazee was at the parking lot doing some show.

It was an exhausting day actually. We got flat just before we left the mall on our way to Ate Linda’s condo.
