Fast and Furious 6 (ending prayer)

Father thank you, for the gathering of friends.
Father we give thanks for all choices we have made, cause that’s what makes us who we are.
Let us forever cherish the loved one we have lost along the way.
Thank you for the little angle, the newest addition to our family.
Thank you for bringing ‘Letty’ home, and most of all…

THANK YOU FOR FAST CARS!

My Facebook Timeline

It’s just hours when i learned that Facebook has launched some geeky stuff they called “Facebook Timeline”. Well, in a nutshell it’s your facebook profile, photos, activities, etc. tightly knit together in an interface similar to other social networking apps like myspace, multiply, flickr and the likes. Of course, in the native facebook color scheme of gray and blue.

Anyway here’s how my profile looks:

Sexy huh? 🙂

Quoting Charles Darwin:

“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.

Ever since i learned of that line few years a go, I don’t just remember – I live it. I ADAPT TO ‘Changes’

Head on to this post if you fancy to try it out too.

PS.

MY shout outs to these 3 amazing birthday celebrants this September:  Papa Nick (9/15) Aaron (9/22) and Papa Jun (9/Today)

One Last Wish

If I knew it would be the last time
that I’d see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time
I’d hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would videotape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time,
I would spare an extra minute or two
to stop and say “I love you,”
instead of assuming you would know I do.

If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
Well I’m sure you’ll have so many more,
so I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there’s always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
to make everything right.

There will always be another day
to say “I love you,”
and certainly there’s another chance
to say our “Anything I can do’s?”

But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I’d like to say how much I love you
and I hope we never forget,
tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike.
And today may be the last chance you get
to hold your loved one tight.

So if you’re waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you’ll surely regret the day
that you didn’t take that extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss,
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today,
whisper in their ear,
tell them how much you love them
and that you’ll always hold them dear.

Take time to say “I’m sorry,”
“please forgive me,” “thank you,” or “it’s okay.”
And if tomorrow never comes,
you’ll have no regrets about today.

I stumbled upon this poem circa 2001 and it’s been on my scratchpad since then, personally “faved” it thanks to my eyes who cant hold-on of it’s tears the first time i read it.

It’s not my poem but I’m sharing it to remind us that in this very worldly place we’re living in right now, the person beside you might be the last person you’ll see, forever.

Disclaimer: It has been my habit, we’ll, to be honest, before facebook, that I take part on some ‘unfortunate incident’ even without me physically being involved like hands-on reaching out to those in needs. I aint superman, can’t fly to a city, or a place, etc… I try to reach out via blogging. (and now, facebooking for most i guess.) I believe forwarding or letting my “network” of people know is enough. Again, let’s keep everybody posted…

A thank you note on my birthday

For all those people who flooded my ‘wall’ with priceless greetings and wonderful wishes: To my family, friends, relatives, colleagues, people i havent met in the flesh; Thank you very much.

To everyone who took a time out from your otherwise busy Saturday to sing, dine and drink on my birthday. Thank you very much.

And to my one and only Joyce for being the best partner a man could have. She who took a time out from playing Ran (during a x4 & x3 BTG! hehe) and decided to wake up early, hit the market, and cook instead… +9 to you mommy! You deserve a treat!

I don’t think of it as being another year older. I think of it as another year of having special people around me… be it online and IRL…

Again, Thank You! Salamat! Shukran!, Merci, Cam On, Okun Charan!!!
