Great blog, very good post, keep up the good work
Thanks for the post…i really enjoyed myself mailing Christmas Greeting to my friends in different languages and they didn’t know what the meaning was.
This gives one an idea of how difficult it is to get everyone on the same page when dealing with any international issue.
Not only do we have different words and spellings for Merry Christmas, but also different inflections when the words are spoken.
Civilization made great progress during the reign of the Caesars because of a common language.
Hopefully, we are on our way to adopting a planet wide language all can understand.
With one language for all (even if we keep our second national language), at least in this age of nuclear festivities, we won’t have someone angered at the world community because of a nuance of language that one side or the other didn’t appreciate or misunderstood.
I actually used the Spanish one to say to this girl that I like
Great list that you compiled!
