Pacquiao defeats Larios!

Super featherweight superstar Manny Pacquiao (42-3-2, 32 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over game Oscar Larios (56-5-1, 36 KOs) Sunday morning at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila, Philippines. Larios had some good rounds early, but was cut over the left eye by a punch in round three, which bled for the rest of the fight. By round four, Pacman was in command and the bout became one-sided in his favor after that. Larios was down briefly in round seven and again in round twelve with about :30 left in the fight, but made it to the final bell, fighting courageously the entire twelve round distance. Scores were 117-110, 118-108, 120-106. The bout was for WBC International 130lb title.


Former world champion Gerry Penalosa (50-5-2, 31 KOs) pounded out a hard fought ten round decision over Tomas Rojas (22-9, 14 KOs) in a bantamweight bout. Scores were 97-93, 98-92, 98-93. There were no knockdowns.

Junior lightweight Jimrex Jaca (26-2-1,, 11 KOs) won a seven round technical decision over Hector Javier Marquez (28-17, 21 KOs). The bout was stopped due to a cut suffered by Jaca as a result of an unintentional headbutt. Scores were 60-53 on all cards.
